"Doctors' Day" is celebrated in order to express the
doctors our gratitude for their tireless work and dedication to saving lives
Every year, the 30th of March is recognized as Doctors Day
across the US in honor of those doctors and medical professionals who save
lives across the globe. Doctors are faced with the daunting task of diagnosing
and treating patients each day, with new breakthroughs tools, information, and
tools readily available. They make sure that patients receive top-quality
medical treatment. In the US the US, Doctor's Day is celebrated on March 30 in
India the celebration is by July 1.

the significance of doctors' work has never so evident. The Doctor's Day
holiday is a day in order to express appreciation to medical experts for their
dedication and dedication to saving lives.
History
"The first "Doctors' Day" celebration was
held at the end of March, 1933 to honor Dr. Crawford W. Long's first experience
with anesthesia using ether.
Giving greeting cards to doctors dead and alive is among the
most popular ways to mark Doctors Day. Eudora Brown Almond wife of the Georgia
doctor, started this method. She believed that her husband as well as other
doctors should be credited more for their work and made the decision to turn
this idea into real.
Almond delivered greeting cards and cards to the doctors in
town and wives of their patients and even laid flowers on graves of doctors who
died such as Dr. Long. The flowers were carnations in red and later became the
official flower of the holiday. The red carnation is utilized to express
gratitude.
US President George H.W. Bush established National Doctors
Day on February 21 1991 to honor the doctors of the United States for their
commitment to the profession.
Significance
The Day is marked with a lot of joy throughout the US.
Numerous clinics, hospitals offer free meals to doctors. Patients also compose
thank-you notes to express their gratitude to their physicians.
Doctor's Day in India
The day of Doctors' is celebrated on the 1st day of July in India in honor of doctor Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. The doctor was also a philanthropist an educator as well as a social worker who was the Chief Minister of West Bengal over 14 years.
